Reports & Notifications
Backup reports, the consolidated account report, and the email notifications you can subscribe to.
Backup Reports
Every backup run produces a report — visible in the portal under Reports, and optionally delivered by email. Reports use deduplication-aware metrics, so the numbers mean what they say:
- •Protected Data — the full size of the files covered by the backup.
- •Transferred — the bytes actually uploaded after deduplication and compression.
- •Dedup Savings — data that did not need to be re-uploaded because identical content is already stored.
💡 Tip
A report showing many new files but a tiny Transferred value is healthy — it means deduplication found the content already in storage. Your files are fully protected either way.
The Consolidated Report
The consolidated report gives one account-wide view across all sites, team members, and devices: backup status per device, storage used vs. your plan quota, and recent activity.
- •Open it from Reports → Consolidated report in the portal.
- •Click Email report to send it on demand to your notification recipients.
- •Use Print for a clean printer-friendly copy (navigation is hidden automatically).
- •Subscribe to receive it automatically — daily, weekly, or monthly.
Email Notifications
Manage who gets emailed, and about what, in Settings → Notifications.
- •Notification recipients: a list of email addresses that receive backup reports and alerts — add teammates or a shared mailbox.
- •Every-backup notifications: opt in to an email for each completed backup on any of your devices.
- •Consolidated report subscription: choose the frequency (daily / weekly / monthly) for the account-wide report.
- •Recipients configured on the desktop agent for a specific backup set are combined with — never replaced by — your portal list.
ℹ Note
Your support team can also manage report subscriptions and recipients for you — ask them to adjust delivery if you are not seeing expected emails.
Resending and History
- •The Reports page lists every report sent, with a preview of exactly what was delivered.
- •Use the resend action on any report to send it again to the current recipient list.
- •The Usage Reports page shows storage-over-time graphs so you can watch growth against your quota.
